Caio Zanardi started at S.E. Palmeiras in the under-07 and under-08 categories. Then he migrated to the field at Clube Atlético Indiano through the youth categories, and at the age of twelve he went to the base of São Paulo F.C., where his trajectory as a player began.
São Paulo FC
As a player, Caio Zanardi was formed in the youth teams of São Paulo until he transferred to Corinthians before he even turned 20. He played in the final of the São Paulo Cup in 1993 against his former club, scoring one of the goals in the 4-3 defeat against the Morumbi team.
S.C Corinthians Pta
After wearing the SPFC shirt throughout the base, Caio Zanardi arrived at Corinthians where he played in the 1993 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Jr final.
He scored one of Timão’s goals in the match, but could not avoid a 4-3 defeat and finished runner-up.
When he went up to the professional ranks, he suffered a serious injury during training and spent a long time recovering.
In 1995, after several attempts to return to the pitch, Caio Zanardi decided to leave the pitch. He was part of the group that won the Copa do Brasil that year.
