Caio Zanardi carried out internships with the most renowned coaches in world football, including: Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid), Fabio Capello (Italian Coach), Luís Felipe Scolari (Brazilian and Portuguese National Team), Louis van Gaal (Dutch Coach), Sven- Göran Eriksson (Swedish football manager), Roberto Mancini (Italian Manager) and Sandro Rosell (former Barcelona president).
“The internships were very important to understand the methodology of each professional, each one with a different school, each one with a different vision with a different style and always looking to learn and listen a lot. This helped me to develop my own work methodology”
Naturally interested in learning and mastering several areas, Caio Zanardi sought knowledge wherever he went. He graduated in Sports Management in Brazil, obtained the FA International License (training coaches of the English Football Federation). A coach with European training, but with Brazilian DNA.
“I studied a lot about football and I think I managed to balance two things that I consider important in this profession: practice and theory. Having been a player, knowing the universe, I think that helps me a lot, but it’s not enough. I sought to understand more about the sport, all its areas and possibilities. Today I consider myself a coach who puts a lot of emphasis on tactics and collective play, but aware of the characteristics of the Brazilian player. What you can expect from this team in the South American Championship is a lot of tactical application off the ball and freedom to improvise in attack”.
